I’ve been an accredited motorsports photographer since 2014. As a passionate fan of motorsports, I’m fortunate to have attended races all over the globe. My motorsports photography portfolio includes a variety of racing from Formula 1 to WEC, Le Mans, IndyCar, MotoGP, World Challenge, and IMSA. Track and event coverage has been provided to manufacturers like Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, and NIO, and I have worked with Red Bull, Gunther Werks, and Select Motorsport Events on a number of occasions.
As an automotive editorial photographer, most of my client contributions have been to Jalopnik, which has published my work over 300 times–with nearly 100 pieces under my byline–but I do provide automotive photography and racing photography services to other clients including Type7 and have over 100 reviews published with DriveTribe. Performance car reviews are also a service I provide, with the driving, photography, and writing all handled personally. I also catalog and represent collector cars for sale, with numerous contributions to Bring A Trailer.
The pictures you see in my portfolio are simple yet involved with the moment. I put as much work into the context of an image as I do composition. When working around teams, I put an emphasis on behind the scenes details you can’t see on TV or from the grandstand, to show how the sausage gets made. I try to keep the images clean, and consider myself a natural light photographer, but love deep shadows and a bit of contrast. To see some highlights of my portfolio, check out the good sampling.
I’m based in Austin, Texas, with Circuit of The Americas in my back yard, but spend plenty of time in Los Angeles, and make several trips per year for various assignments.
