About

I’ve been an accredited motorsports photographer since 2014. As a passionate fan of motorsports, I’ve been lucky enough to attend races all over the globe. With previous competitive experience, I’ve learned how to capture the excitement from the driver’s seat to the paddock to the fan in the grandstand. My motorsports photography portfolio includes a variety of racing from Formula 1 to WECLe MansIndyCarMotoGPWorld Challenge, and IMSA.

As an automotive photographer, most of my client contributions have been to Jalopnik, which has published my work over 300 times–with nearly 100 pieces under my byline–but I do provide automotive photography and racing photography services to other editorial clients including DriveTribe–with over 100 reviews published–and Type7. I’ve provided dedicated track and event coverage to manufacturers like Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, and NIO, and have worked with Red Bull and Gunther Werks on a number of occasions. Performance car reviews are also a service I provide, with the driving, photography, and copy writing all handled personally.

The pictures you’ll see will be simple, but involved with the moment. I put as much work into the context of an image as I do composition. When working around teams, I put an emphasis on behind the scenes details you can’t see on TV or from the grandstand. I try to keep the images clean, and consider myself a natural light photographer, but love deep shadows and a bit of contrast. To see some highlights, check out my best stuff.

I’m based in Austin, Texas, with Circuit of The Americas in my back yard, but spend plenty of time in Los Angeles, and make dozens of trips per year for various assignments.
